- A Connections course from the Compass requirement may be counted toward the major or the minor in government and politics as an elective if taught by a member of the Government and Politics Department faculty.
- Majors planning to pursue graduate studies in political science or related disciplines are recommended to take MATH 1150 - Elementary Statistics .
