RLST 2500 - Classical Mythology 4 Semester Hours Western art and literature have their roots in Greek and Roman stories about gods and titans, awe-inspiring deeds, and magical transformations. Today, we refer to these stories as “myths,” but for Greeks and Romans, it was their religion. In this course, students examine the Greco-Roman gods and goddesses, the heroes and heroines, villains and monsters, as well as major cults associated with them.
