SOAN 2510 - Pyramids, Ancient Aliens, and Lost Cities: Myths and Frauds in Archaeology Pyramids, Ancient Aliens, and Lost Cities: Myths and Frauds in Archaeology examines ancient mysteries and the pseudoscientific theories that non-archaeologists develop to explain these mysteries. Students critique popular and fantastic claims through scientific reasoning, solve archaeological puzzles (e.g., how were the pyramids built?), and conduct a survey in Jackson on popular beliefs about the past. The goal of th3 course is for students to acquire problem-solving, critical thinking, and collaborative learning skills.
