About: The minor in film studies involves analyzing and producing film and media. Students learn to interpret moving-images from multiple perspectives. These perspectives support students in the production of moving-images. Drawing from both the analytical and practical aspects of film studies, students learn foundational approaches to the discipline.

Requirements
Requirements for minor:
Five courses, in total, are required. No one course can be used to meet more than one requirement.
Various Millsaps courses may be adapted to meet these requirements, all to be approved by the director of the minor.
Required Courses
Students must complete the following courses:
Specialized Course
Students must take one specialized course with a film designation or approval.
- FILM 2/3/4### (C- or higher)
- XXX 2/3/4### course with significant use of film in the curriculum, subject to approval by Film Studies Director. (C- or higher)
Production Course
Students must take one production course chosen from the following list:
Senior Seminar
Students must complete Senior Seminar and create a research paper on a film-related topic, subject to approval by the Film Studies Director:
