- One course used as part of the ‘Understanding the Social World’ compass requirement may be counted toward the major or the minor in government and politics if taught by a department member.
- Majors planning to pursue graduate studies in political science or related disciplines need to take MATH 1150 - Elementary Statistics .
- Majors planning to pursue careers in government, electoral politics, or public affairs are encouraged to take MRKT 3000 - Principles of Marketing .
