A class in “How to Read Just About Anything,” students will emerge from this course ready to understand, analyze,; critique many forms of human expression ranging from short stories; poems to nonfiction drama, films,; other visual images By focusing on the techniques of close reading, introducing various critical approaches,; having students communicate their own interpretations orally; in writing, the course prepares students to major in any of the three areas of study in the English Department: Communications Studies, Creative Writing,; Literature in English
